I was a COMM professor at a small liberal arts college on the SF Peninsula for many years until it closed to undergrads last year. I worked in the news business before that and was fascinated by the workings of media, the ethical situations, decision-making, and the impact it had on the audience and the larger society. I left work in media and went off to graduate school to study it. The Master’s in Mass Communication at the University of South Florida is connected with the Poynter Institute for Journalists. Ph.D. in Journalism at the University of Texas in Austin. I have two bunnies and worked in bunny fostering and rescue for over a decade; it is my other passion, after working with students. I’m so excited and honored to be teaching at Cal Poly Humboldt!
